Train Information Display System

Train Information Display System (TIDS) is an electronic system which provides real-time train information. It may include both predictions about arrival and departure times, as well as information about the nature and causes of disruptions. It may be used both physically within a transportation hub and remotely using a web browser or mobile device for subway, train, bus, airport, port and government applications.

The goal of Accurate Traffic Information System is to provide passengers/ travelers up-to-date information, regarding anything from scheduled or real-time arrival and departure information to service alerts. Information such as train arrivals schedules, public service announcements, safety messages and advertisements can be delivered in real-time via any electronic media.

By providing real time information to travelers, they are better able to conduct their journey confidently, including taking any necessary steps in the event of delays. This helps to encourage greater use of public transport, which for many countries is a political goal.
